About

Hi-ya!

Thanks for stopping by to learn a little bit more about me and the blog.

About Me

If you haven't gathered from the little blurb to the right, my name is Sophie. I'm in my late twenties (not as shocking or upsetting as I would have thought) and during the day I am a Nanny.

Not the Fran Fine kind of nanny - while I was a live-in Nanny like for a number of years, I could never pull off the outfits that she did. Plus it's very hard to copy her iconic voice. I also never fell in love and married my very wealthy boss. Otherwise, things are pretty similar. I care and nurture tiny humans and ensure that they are learning about the world and the things they need to know.

When I'm not working, I'm usually studying a degree in Psychology where I'm majoring in child development. When I need a break from that, you can find me on the computer playing the Sims 4 or on the PS4 playing something.

However, when I'm not doing any of that I'm reading about or writing about True Crime here. I can't remember a time when I haven't had something to do with crime TV or True Crime in my life. Whether it's my love for the TV Show Criminal Minds or listening to a True Crime Podcast, my life has had elements of this genre in it - something which I both blame and thank my mother for.

I also have a personal blog where I talk about things other than True Crime.

About the Blog

The Bulletin Board came about when I considered for a while starting a podcast - but when I realised I didn't have the extra cash to start that endeavor I started to look at other ways in which I could still share True Crime stories.

The Bulletin Board is a place where I can tell the stories of those who have died and the investigation while trying my best to ensure that focus is on them and not on the person who killed them. This is not to say that there won't be any talk about the murderers - there will be some talk of them - my hope is not to focus solely on them however because they will forever go down in history for what they did.

What I hope to create here is a place where the Victims voices are heard and not overshadowed by the person who silenced them. A lot of the time I have noticed when looking at True Crime there is a lot of focus put on the Murderer and not the Victim - who should be the person who is being focused on.

I will update the cases that I look at when those updates are available as well as recommend any books, podcasts and TV shows/documentaries that I think are interesting.
